Audition Level
Routines at this level require an audition in order to register. This level is best for dancers with a solid base in authentic jazz. It is more physically demanding and rhythmically challenging than Level 1. Material is presented at a faster pace, the choreography is more complex, and the tempos are challenging.
Examples of an Audition Level routine: She’s a Great, Great Girl
Summer Session: Classic Chorus Line
This routine draws inspiration from the chorus lines of the 1930s and 1940s. This routine is all about showcasing our own individual style and expression, while moving as a group. This song is faster (around 210bpm), and we’ll be focusing on authentic jazz steps and more complex rhythms.
Our song is Seven Come Eleven by the Boilermaker Jazz Band.
